What do I need to bring with me to the polls on Election Day?
In California, most voters are not required to show ID to vote. However, if you are a first-time voter who registered to vote by mail and did not provide ID information on your registration form, you may be asked to show ID at the polls. Acceptable forms of ID include a copy of a recent utility bill, your sample ballot booklet, or a document sent to you by a government agency.
